மிளகு கொழம்பு
Recipe for Milagu Kuzhambu:
Quantities mentioned here will suffice to prepare milagu kozhambu for 10 plates of milagu kozhambu sadam.
Ingredients:
vathal milagai : 14 Nos
Whole black peppers : 2 spoons
curry leaves : 75 leaves
salt
asafoetida
tamarind paste
oil
mustard
udad dal
cumin seeds
Preparation:
Break the dry red chillies into small pieces and add the whole black pepper and fry without oil for 2 mins.
Fry the curry leaves without oil for 2 mins.
Grind the fried chillies, pepper and curry leaves with 1.5 spoons of salt till it becomes powder like.
Add water and tamarind paste to the powdered mixture and grind to get a smooth batter
Fry the mustard, cumin seeds and udal dal in oil and add the batter.
Add a pinch of turmeric powder and asafoetida and boil the mixture till the volume is half of the initial mixture.
Tasty tangy dish is ready to be served with hot rice :) Bon Appétit!!
This can be preserved upto a week and can come handy when you are not in a mood to cook.
